Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Although the Fontainebleau Las Vegas was delayed, it is still scheduled to open in 2023. Originally named Fontainebleau Las Vegas, it was bought in 2010 by Carl Icahn. But construction was put on hold during the financial crisis. During the Great Recession, the real estate market collapsed. In 2010, Carl Icahn paid $150 million to acquire the unfinished resort. However, he sold the property to developers in 2017 for $600 million.
Since then, the property has been purchased by a variety of investors. The most recent acquisition was made in August 2017, by New Valley LLC. Among those that participated in the financing were Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Guggenheim Partners, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp.
